Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has completed its acquisition of Red Lion Hotels parent RLH Corp., the company announced. As a result, Sonesta now has approximately 1,200 locations and more than 100,000 guest rooms across a portfolio of 15 brands, according to the company. In addition, Sonesta announced that industry veteran Keith Pierce will join Sonesta as EVP and president of franchise and development, effective Thursday. Pierce spent more than 27 years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, most recently as EVP. RLH CEO John Russell Jr. will continue to support Sonesta through the transition until April 30, 2021, the company said.
