Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh welcomed their first child, a baby boy on February 3, 2021. The couple made a cute announcement on their social media pages which made fans gush over them in no time. Now, after a few days of the baby’s arrival, Nakuul and Jankee announced the name of their son. Yes, the baby is named Sufi and the couple decided on it when Jankee was three months pregnant.

In the photos, Nakuul is seen in a green T-Shirt and brown corduroy pants. While Jankee wore a tie-dye shirt dress. They held a balloon which had ‘Sufi’ written on it and smiled happily for the camera.

The couple captioned their posts stating, “‘Sufi’ A name that we decided when we were three months pregnant for our to-be firstborn, irrespective of the gender. Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song and everything that we stand for & beyond. From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love and if I’m allowed to customise this caption dictated by the Missus, sleepless nights. @babysufim.”

Earlier during an interaction with Hindustan Times, Nakuul opened up on embracing parenthood. The actor said, “During an interview with Hindustan Times, Nakuul said, “It was overwhelming to be in the operation theatre (OT) besides my wife, and watch my child being born. I had heard it often enough, but nothing prepares you for that kind of rush. It’s surreal, deeply emotional, and yet magical in so many ways. I’m not sure if the fact that I’m a father has sunk in completely yet. We’re only a week into this, but I do feel infinite compassion and love for this new life and everybody around me.”
