Bollywood actress Dia Mirza who’s currently expecting her first child with husband Vaibhav Rekhi took to her social media handle to emphasize on the importance of keeping pregnant and lactating women safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress responded to a tweet concerning the covid protocols for pregnant women by saying, “This is really important. Must read and also note that none of the vaccinations currently being used in India have been tested on pregnant and lactating mothers”.

She also shared her doctor’s advice concerning the COVID-19 vaccines available for India. “My doctor says we cannot take these vaccines until required clinical trials have been done.” Earlier, Dia announced her pregnancy by posting a beautiful photo of herself cradling her baby bump on social media. The picture was taken during the couple’s honeymoon in Maldives.

Dia and Vaibhav got married in February this year in a private ceremony. Post their wedding, she had shared wedding pictures on social media and took the internet by storm. On the work front, she was last seen in Anubhav Sinha‘s ‘Thappad’ with Taapsee Pannu.
