Spirit Airlines executive Laurie Villa is joining JetBlue as its chief people officer, overseeing employee matters including crew and labor relations, recruiting and talent management and diversity, equity an inclusion, the carrier announced. Villa, who has been Spirit’s chief human resources officer for the past six and a half years, will start at JetBlue in June. Current JetBlue current chief people officer Mike Elliott, who has been with the airline since 2010, will stay until August to help with the transition.
