Meetings management company Groupize has partnered with MedPro Systems, a provider of health care license validation solutions to the life sciences industry, the company announced Wednesday.

Through the partnership, life sciences organizations can automate health care practitioner license verification in the Groupize platform as part of the registration process for both in-person and virtual events. The platform will validate attendees’ HCP credentials against MedPro’s database “for clean and accurate matching against authoritative federal, state and industry-sourced data.”

“We understand that life sciences organizations face the daunting task of collecting, verifying and reporting compliance-related spend and research,” said Groupize founder Charles de Gaspe Beaubien in a statement. “This is time-consuming and can be error-prone, leaving exposure to risk. … MedPro Systems is one of the most trusted brands in the industry.”

In addition, Groupize and MedPro Systems integrate with SAP Concur for end-to-end management of HCP event expense capture and reporting. Groupize also creates a transfer of value report for Open Payments compliance—formerly known as the Sunshine Act, which requires that certain payments or transfers of value made to physicians, teaching hospitals and other advanced practice clinicians be reported to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The transfer of value report can be uploaded to MedPro’s ComplianceReportingID or any other aggregate spend platform for audit purposes.
