ATG Adds Carbon Reporting Via Squake

ATG Travel Worldwide is connecting to carbon emission compensation platform Squake to enable clients to measure and offset emissions from travel, the travel management company announced.

With the connection, which ATG said will be deployed sometime in the current quarter, the TMC can provide carbon footprint estimations for air travel, hotels, bus, rail and car rental activity, which it said are based on “internationally recognized standards.” The API also enables an offset option at checkout with both ATG’s online booking tools and agents, which can be assigned to the entity of a client’s choice, including sustainable aviation fuel providers.

The Squake platform launched in 2021 as part of Lufthansa’s Innovation Hub. ATG will be the first TMC to connect to the platform in this capacity, according to ATG.
