Big-hitters Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh starred for India Legends on the night of the final as their respective quick half-centuries helped their side get to a score of 181/4 on the night of the final against Sri Lanka Legends in the Road Safety World Series 2020-21.

The Indian Legends didn’t have a usual fast start as they normally do. Both Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar struggled to time the ball well. Sehwag, just after hitting a six got out scoring 10 runs off 12 balls in the third over of the innings.

S Badrinath came in at No 3 and he too couldn’t find the middle of the bat straightaway and got out cheaply. Skipper Tendulkar then got a few good shots but his innings was cut short by Farveez Maharoof.

Then it was the Y and Y show as Yusuf Pathan joined fellow all-rounder Yuvraj Singh in the middle. As soon as Yuvraj got one from the middle of his bat, the party started as both the batsmen started seeing the ball like a football and hit like a tennis ball.

While Yuvraj brought up his fifty in 34 balls, Pathan completed it much faster, in just 25 balls. While Yuvraj hit four maximums, the latter smashed five sixes as the duo forged an 85-run partnership off just 47 balls to help India Legends get to a competitive total of 180-plus. Pathan remained unbeaten on 62 off just 36 balls.
