WWE Raw garnered a 2021-low of 1.701 million viewers up against stiff competition in the form of the NCAA men’s basketball championship. SmackDown’s overnight viewership was down with 2.080 million viewers.

WWE WrestleMania 37, Night 2 Results—Sunday, April 10, 2021

Opening Segment Featuring Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil

Fans booed Hulk Hogan and cheered Titus O’Neil every time they spoke.

Randy Orton def. The Fiend

Randy Orton walked out in clean, white gear and it looked fantastic.

Nobody seemed happier. to be in front of a live crowd than Randy Orton.

The Fiend had a great Brodie Lee tribute during this match.

WWE seems to be systematically committed to destroying The Fiend character, and boy did they do that tonight. I never want to see or hear from The Fiend again.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler def. Tamina and Natalya—WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Nia Jax could be heard saying “lay it in” to Tamina as Tamina was delivering unconvincing strikes.

Fans seemed to really be into both Tamina and Nia Jax throughout this match, but more so Tamina who might have been the most over Superstar in the first hour of WrestleMania.

Nia Jax told Tamina “I’m King Kong, [expletive],” and I’m sure the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns would hate to see his family fighting like that.

Shayna Baszler choked out Natalya mid-Figure-Four in a great finish.

Kevin Owens def. Sami Zayn (with Logan Paul)

These fans wasted no time booing Sami Zayn, and WWE even made sure to pipe in cheers over the boos for Logan Paul.

The word “conspiracy” was used maybe 50 times before the opening bell.

Fans chanted “Logan sucks” throughout this match, and if WWE doesn’t have plans to make him a pay-per-view attraction as a heel, it should.

These fans were so bloodthirsty to see Logan Paul take a Stunner, it was starting to feel like he was in the Roman Coliseum.

Sheamus def. Riddle—WWE United States Championship

The fans were so excited after Riddle kicked out of the Brogue Kick.

Riddle teased power bombing Sheamus from the top rope, barefoot in rainy Florida and I was terrified.

This match was one botched White Noise away from being the match of the night to this point.

If any feud deserved a best-of-seven, it’s this one.

Apollo Crews def. Big E—Nigerian Drum Fight for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

When Greg Hamilton was announcing the stipulations for this match, I was worried he’d say a Superstar could win by pinfall, submission or banging the Zulu drums.

The Nigerian Drums were really more of an aesthetic choice and decoration for a hardcore match.

Competing in front of his hometown crowd, Big E was easily one of the most over Superstars all weekend.

Rhea Ripley def. Asuka—WWE Raw Women’s Championship

The band that played “This is My Brutality” was skewered on Twitter amid a litany of sound issues during their live performance.

Rhea Ripley immediately got heat with this audience by slapping Asuka around. Ripley was being a great heel, plus it’s far easier to boo her after that live entrance.

This was a very good match that Rhea Ripley absolutely had to have after her losing streak on her way out of WWE NXT and her WrestleMania 36 loss to Charlotte. This might be the earliest must-win match in WWE history.

Fans were none-too-pleased to see The Bella Twins attack Bayley.

Roman Reigns def. Daniel Bryan and Edge—WWE Universal Championship

WWE changed “Backlash” to “WrestleMania Backlash” in a wise move.

It felt so good to see the “Yes” chant live. People also seemed to be behind Edge more than anybody in this match.

Roman Reigns gets the same reaction that he did as a babyface, except now it’s the men who are cheering him.

Roman Reigns was the best heel on this show. And if it weren’t for Logan Paul, it wouldn’t even be close.

This match earned the most spirited “this is awesome!” chants of the night.

Roman Reigns winning this match was the right move, and I loved that he pinned both Edge and Daniel Bryan.
