White House Says It’s Not Blocking Fox News From Questions At Biden Events

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday that there was no policy to exclude Fox News from being called on at official events—particularly events with access to President Biden. “The president’s taking your questions,” Psaki told Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy. “And I’m looking forward to doing Fox News Sunday this Sunday for the third time in the last few months.”

Pressed by Doocy, who said Fox News has not appeared on a list of network correspondents for the president to call on. “I’m just curious about this list that he is given,” Doocy said. “The only member of the five network pool never on it, dating back to when he resumed in-person events in Wilmington during the end of the campaign.”

After airing the exchange, Fox News anchor John Roberts said “one word for what she just said that I could say on TV: hogwash,” Roberts said. “Absolute hogwash. He has never been on the list. He has only gotten questions when he shouted them at the president. The president has said on occasion, you know what? You always ask me the tough questions, but you know I like you. So go ahead, bring it on.”

Roberts concluded “so what she said today was absolute unadulterated hogwash.”
