Wheels Up Introduces Corp. Travel Offering

Private aviation supplier Wheels Up has added a new offering for corporate customers, including those with their own fleets.

The new “Up for Business” offering lets corporate customers manage pre-funded accounts that they can use to book both private jet travel with Wheels Up as well as commercial travel with Delta Air Lines, which last year merged its Delta Private Jets business into the Wheels Up platform. The program also provides dedicated account managers and a key account desk to help corporations customize their private aviation programs.

For those that operate or wish to operate their own fleets, the program assists in acquiring and upgrading aircraft, as well as divesting aircraft, according to Wheels Up. It also provides “hands-on maintenance management” and can help those companies that own aircraft lower costs related to that ownership.

“The travel needs of each company are unique and different,” Wheels Up chief sales officer Ken Napolitano said in a statement. “We recognize our job is to be a partner in the process so that our talented sales team, who have decades worth of combined experience, can help optimize a private aviation solution to meet the financial goals and travel needs of every business client we serve.”

Wheels Up SVP Robert Bourrier will lead the offering and will report to Napolitano.

In the first quarter of 2021, Wheels Up reported that its membership had increased 56 percent year over year to 9,895 members. It currently is merging with Aspirational Consumer Lifestyle Corp., a deal announced in February that will take the company public, and that merger is expected to close near the end of the current quarter, according to Wheels Up.
