WestJet is restoring service on more than a dozen routes in December, boosting its service to cover a total of nearly 100 domestic and international destinations, the carrier announced.

The routes largely focus on leisure destinations but also include resumption of service between Toronto and Orlando. Other routes slated to restart from Toronto in December include Miami; Grand Cayman; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Roatan, Honduras; and Kelowna, British Columbia.

From WestJet’s headquarters city of Calgary, the carrier is restoring service to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Lihue and Kona in Hawaii. WestJet also will restore service between Winnipeg and each Orlando, Cancún and Regina, Saskatchewan, as well as service between Edmonton and Honolulu.

WestJet chief commercial officer John Weatherill in a statement called the restored service “a major milestone in rebuilding our network to pre-pandemic levels.”
