Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, Kalypso Media’s strategy game based in the expansive Warhammer universe, has just arrived on the Google Play Store. You can play it right now as long as you’ve got an Android tablet.

The game, which has been out for a couple of years on Steam, sees you leading your Adeptus Mechanicus forces across the planet Silva Tenebris in search of ancient technologies secreted within Necron tombs. If there’s a Warhammerier sentence than that we’ll eat our hats.

Gameplay-wise, you’ll need to manage your squad and resources as you advance through the campaign, with each battle ramping up both the difficulty and the rewards.

The mobile (well, tablet) port of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus comes with the Heretic DLC, which adds five missions to the base game and takes you deeper into the underbelly of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction as you take on heretic Tech-Priests.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is written by Black Library author Ben Counter, and you can download it right now for $11.99.

As long as you’ve got an Android tablet.

Update: A handful of readers have pointed out that they have been able to download Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus on their non-tablet devices. We can’t (LG G7) but the tablet/smartphone boundary does seem to be ill-defined in this instance so you may have better luck.
