Private aviation group Vista Global has reached an agreement to acquire private jet service Apollo Jets, the latest in a string of acquisitions by the Dubai-based group.

The acquisition will increase Vista Global’s North American presence in terms of flights by about 20 percent and adds a portfolio of clients that includes Fortune 500 executives and such celebrities as Shaquille O’Neal and Derek Jeter, according to Vista Global. Vista Global will integrate Apollo into its XO brand, which it acquired in 2018, and the company expects Apollo’s client executives will boost sales and memberships for the group.

Besides XO, Vista Global also acquired private air travel platform JetSmarter in 2019 and Red Wing Aviation in 2020.

“I believe this is just the beginning of consolidation in our industry, and Vista Global is leading this market transformation,” Vista Global founder and chairman Thomas Flohr said in a statement. “We are excited to add the strongest independent team of client executives to our leading global infrastructure.”

The group expects the transaction will be completed within the first quarter, which ends this month, and financial details were not disclosed.
