Tripbam Adds SilverDoor as First Serviced-Apartment Partner

London-based serviced-apartment provider SilverDoor has become the first such company to partner with hotel re-shopping company Tripbam, SilverDoor announced Wednesday. 

Tripbam confirmed it also has no other partnerships with short-term rental companies. 

Integration is in process, a spokesperson said, and no timetable for the availability of SilverDoor inventory in Tripbam was announced. When it is available, travel managers who currently use Tripbam users will be able to identify and shift to SilverDoor units travelers with long-term stays. SilverDoor operates about 320,000 serviced apartments in 110 countries, according to its website.

Tripbam’s data shows that the length of stay for business trips in 2020 had lengthened by a day compared with 2019. According to a report from The Highland Group and Kalibri Labs, the average length of stay for bookings of seven nights or longer in 2020 through September grew year over year from 12.8 nights to 15 for traditional hotels, and from 22.8 nights to 24.7 for extended-stay hotels.
