The Best TikTok Accounts to Follow for Overachieving Chicks

[ad_1]

I’ve been hearing about TikTok forever, but as a younger Gen Xer who took a long time to get on Instagram, I only downloaded the TikTok app a couple weeks ago. Now, I find it addicting when I’m in no-attention-span mode. If you’re not on yet, my message to you is “Try it — it’s way more than dancing videos.” (I also guarantee your reaction to so many things — like this video — will be “OMG relatable.”)

You’ll find people talking about their jobs (doctors, Amazon delivery people, teachers…), people being funny about anything and everything, people talking about books (BookTok) or mental health or lifehacks, pets being cute and/or weird, and much, much, more. And of course, there’s a ton of fashion and beauty content, which we touch on below. (Note: You don’t don’t need an account to watch videos.)

Here are some of Kat’s and my picks for the best TikTok accounts to follow for lifestyle advice for overachieving chicks:

cecexie is a lawyer in NYC — and according to her Twitter bio, an “accidental TikToker” — who gives law school tips and career advice (and posts fun videos too).

The corporate mama has a corporate job and two kids and has ADHD — and she finds humor in all of it.

Corporate Natalie describes herself in her bio as “Corporate America by day, aspiring Tik Tok star by night” and posts funny videos about corporate life.

Jess Watt is a single, 40-something mom who posts videos about makeup, skin care, workouts, and random life advice.

justclassicallycassidy shares a ton of hair tutorials — from updos, to styles with scrunchies, to braids, and more.

ADHD TikTok is a thing — so if you have ADHD or think you might, check out TikTokers like Dani Donovan — or if you’re a fan of Beachbody star Chalene Johnson, she talks a lot about ADHD! (If you haven’t been diagnosed yet, just be sure to take non-experts’ advice with a grain of salt.)

One more quick shoutout for the lawyers: SCOTUSblog! If you’re interested in great bite-sized information on latest Supreme Court cases (and gossip), it’s a fun account to follow.

Readers, do tell! Who are your favorite people to follow on TikTok (for any purpose)?
