A new month means new movies—lots of new movies. The first weekend of April is easily the busiest one we’ll see over the next 30 days, as the biggest streaming outlets—including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max and Disney+—will add most of their newest options right at the top of the month.

In total, we’ll receive 24 brand new flicks to choose from this weekend (with most of those movies coming from Netflix and Disney+). Which means you’ve got your work cut out for you when choosing the right movie.

Concrete Cowboy (Netflix)

There’s no arguing about it anymore: Idris Elba can do it all. Drama, crime action, sci-fi—and now western with Concrete Cowboy. This modern take on the most American of all genres focuses on a teenager who is sent to live with his estranged father and becomes part of the local urban cowboy community.

WeWork: Or The Making And Breaking Of A $47 Billion Unicorn (Hulu)

WeWork is a real estate company that was once run by Adam Neumann—who would eventually be forced out of the company after a failed IPO. So what happened? How did this man cost a once-promising business nearly $4 billion? In the documentary WeWork: Or The Making And Breaking Of A $47 Billion Unicorn, director Jed Rothstein digs into company’s story.

Unhinged (Amazon Prime)

You’re never quite sure what you’re going to get with Russell Crowe. But you can be guaranteed about one thing: it’ll be interesting. And that seems to be the case with Unhinged, a thriller that stars Crowe as a mentally unstable man who experiences an intense moment of road rage that sends him after a woman who honked at him.

The Big Year (Disney+)

Jack Black? Owen Wilson? Rosamund Pike? Steve Martin? That can’t be the cast for a family-friendly Disney movie, right? Well, it is—and the movie is The Big Year. Also starring Anjelica Huston, Dianne West and Rashida Jones, this comedy follows three men who embark on a quest to count more species of birds than anybody else.

Ted (HBO Max)

Seth MacFarlane is most well known for his incredibly popular animated series Family Guy. But in 2012, he ventured into the cinematic arena with Ted—a comedy about a foul-mouthed teddy bear that comes to life. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and MacFarlane himself as Ted the teddy bear.
