TAP Air Portugal plans to operate by August 879 flights per week on 100 routes as the carrier gradually restores its network.

Europe will make up the majority of its network, with a total of 555 flights per week expected by August, including new routes to Fuerteventura, Ibiza; Santiago de Compostela, Spain; and Zagreb, Croatia. TAP also is adding new routes to Africa—to Djerba and Monastir in Tunisia and to Oujda and Agadir in Morocco—and will operate 83 flights per week to the continent.

By August, TAP plans to operate 51 weekly flights to North America, with service from Lisbon to each Boston, Chicago, Newark, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal and Washington, D.C.

TAP’s domestic network in August will be 126 weekly flights on eight routes.

In addition, TAP announced that it is partnering with its health care unit, UCS, to provide Covid-19 testing at Lisbon Airport, effective immediately. TAP passengers can get priority access to rapid antigen tests for €21, PCR tests for €85 or the two together for €106, which is “discounted compared to other market offerings,” according to TAP. Passengers receive results by email within 30 minutes for rapid antigen tests and six to eight hours for PCR tests.
