TAP Air Portugal has signed an agreement with AccessRail that enables the carrier’s passengers to book high-speed train travel on the same itinerary as their flight, the carrier announced. TAP air bookings both through the carrier’s website and global distribution systems can be booked alongside rail connections on major operators including Germany’s Deutsche Bahn, Italy’s Trenitalia, the United Kingdom’s TransPennine/GWR, Switzerland’s SBB, Austria’s OBB and SNBC in Belgium and the Netherlands. “Linking rail and air is fundamental to a sustainable future, and our partnership with AccessRail allows us to build that platform toward achieving that goal,” TAP chief revenue and network officer Arik De said in a statement.
