Sixt Adds Hybrid, Electric Cars to Ride Options

Car rental company and mobility firm Sixt has added hybrid and electric vehicles to its booking options for transfer or limousine services, aiming to offer passengers a lower-emissions alternative.

The new vehicle types for Sixt Ride are available in Berlin, Dresden and Munich, as well as Paris, Essonne, Seine-at-Marne, Vexin and Yvelines in France; London, Crawley, Edinburgh, Farnborough, Gatwick, Glasgow, Guildford, Heathrow, Luton, Oxford and Reading in the U.K.; Milan, Italy; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Barcelona, Spain; Stockholm, Sweden; Zurich, Switzerland; and Istanbul, Turkey. Cars can be booked in one of three categories: Green, Business Green, or Business Green XL.

Sixt Ride offers a worldwide network of taxi, limousine and ride services. Together with partner offerings, the company’s app, based on the One mobility platform. can be used to request pick-ups in more than 250 major cities in Europe and the U.S., as well as pre-booked transfers in more than 60 countries. Hybrid and electric vehicles also can be booked online.
