Necromancer – Loop Hero Wiki Guide

Similarly to the Rogue, the Necromancer can be unlocked before you defeat the first boss, the Lich, and will require you to have a certain set of buildings in your camp in order to do so.

In order to obtain the Necromancer class, you’ll need to build the Crypt. Here is the order of buildings you need to make in order to be able to build the Crypt and unlock the Necromancer.

  1. Field Kitchen OR Herbalist’s Hut
  2. Gymnasium
  3. Cemetery
  4. Crypt

It does not matter whether you build the Field Kitchen or Herbalist’s Hut first as both will grant you access to the Gymnasium, which will then allow you to build the Cemetery and finally the Crypt.

The Necromancer is a bit harder to obtain than the Rogue due to the number of buildings required to unlock him, but the two characters can be unlocked in either order so if you want to prioritize the Necromancer, you are more than capable of doing so.

Class: Necromancer

Summons skeletons that fight alongside their master. Number and power of skeletons depend on Necromancer’s equipment and skills.

Additional Class Stats:

  • attack speed
  • evade [%]
  • summon quality
  • regeneration
  • defense
  • skeleton power

The Necromancer can use a grimoire, two rings, and an amulet.

Best Build for the Necromancer

The Necromancer’s strength comes from his army of Skeletons, so you’re going to want a lot of them.

Skills

Increase your max Skeletons as much as possible as having a large Skeleton army will not only deal high damage, but will also tank some more hits for you.

Having a lot of Skeletons isn’t enough on its own, you’ll also want to focus on increasing your Skeleton level stat to make your Skeletons as strong as possible.

Stats like evade won’t do so much for you as the stats that improve your Skeletons, so its okay to ignore them.

Tiles

Forest and Thickets increase your attack speed by 1% and 2% respectively. This stat increase affects all of your Skeletons, making it so you deal your damage a lot faster.

Similarly, Sand Dunes and Desert tiles decrease health by 0.5% and one% respectively. However, Skeletons are unaffected by the health debuff, so this will only work in your favor.

Traits

Here are some traits that will come in handy when building your Necromancer.

  • Edge of Impossible – 20% chance to exceed the number of skeletons and summon 2 of them during the last summon.
  • Art of Control – +1 to maximum number of skeletons.
  • Horde – 3 strengthened skeletons will be joining the Hero on every loop to help in battle.
