Lex Borrero, CEO and co-founder of Latino talent incubator  NEON16, music mogul Tommy Mottola and representation firm Range Media Partners have formed NTERTAIN, a new entertainment and media company that will create, develop, and produce content across all mediums, highlighting Latino stories and launch and represent Latino talent, brands and culture.

“I saw a huge need for more Latin creatives in Hollywood and more importantly, a lack of quality stories being told in a way that made a difference in the perception of Latins, and that truly represented us as a culture,” says Borrero. “Our goal is to change that, and in the process, create incredible content that will NTERTAIN.”

Borrero and Mottola have been working on multiple music and entertainment ventures over the past year, aimed at bringing Latin music and culture to a global audience. The idea for NTERTAIN popped up when Borrero, Mottola and Iván Rodríguez, NEON16’s Head of Creative, determined there wasn’t enough quality content that truly represented the culture and Latin experience in the United States and globally. They say they teamed up with Range Media Partners to help them realize their vision of offering full-service content production, while providing artists with unparalleled access to all major media companies.

“Music has always been at the epicenter of culturetoday Latin music is THE Global Pop-Culture,” states Mottola. “NTERTAIN will develop unique and 100% authentic content and programming that will resonate with the global pop general market and beyond.”

The newly created company will be based in Miami. Borerro and Mottola will head NTERTAIN in partnership with Peter Micelli, CEO of Range Media Partners.

Mottola, one of the most influential music executives in history, is credited with discovering and guiding the careers of stars such as Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Beyonce, as well as creating the so-called “Latin Explosion” in the late 90’s and early 2000’s by signing Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and Marc Anthony.

Borrero co-founded NEON16 with award-winning producer and artist Tainy in 2019 as a Latin market talent and idea incubator. Since its inception, the company has seen great growth, attributed, in part, to recently released global hits “Agua” from The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, recorded by J Balvin and “Un Día (One Day),” recorded by J Balvin, Dua Lipa and Bad Bunny, as well as executive producing Selena Gomez’s latest album, “Revelación.”

For its multiple chart-topping crossover achievements, Fast Company this month named NEON16 the #1 Most Innovative music company of 2021.

Borrero will continue to serve as President at multimedia and talent incubator powerhouse NEON16, while also leading NTERTAIN.

Range Media Partners, founded in 2020 by a group of entertainment and business industry leaders, has quickly positioned itself as a representation company in an evolving media landscape that cultivates cross-collaborations with clients in film, television, music, literary, and activism.

Latin producer and songwriter Tainy will also join the NTERTAIN team as a partner.
