Indian skipper Virat Kohli, apart from announcing the one change in the playing 11, also informed that he will be opening in the final T20I of the series alongside vice-captain Rohit Sharma. While the two opened once in an ODI against New Zealand in Hamilton in 2014, this was the first time the skipper and his deputy opened together in the shortest format for India.

The two had almost a perfect start to their opening combination as the duo added 94 runs for the first wicket in just nine overs. Seeing India’s two best batsmen opening together, the netizens had a meltdown as they couldn’t feel happier for the duo, who have time and again been put against each other in the captaincy debate.

Virat, who after getting out for a duck in the first game of the series, found his mojo in the second and third game of the series with scores of 73* and 77*. While Rohit after a couple of low scores stormed back into form with an explosive innings of 64 off just 34 balls.

The users on Twitter couldn’t control themselves from treating to the same as two days ago the fans of two cricketers were fighting over who should be the captain in the shortest format. And seeing them together taking on and destroying England bowlers was a treat for them.
