Jaya Bachchan is widely famous for losing her cool with reporters and cameras around her. A similar incident took place recently during a roadshow Jaya did in support of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Howrah, West Bengal. The roadshow was going fine until a man tried to take a selfie with the veteran actor as she was sitting in her carriage.

In a video that is now going viral, Jaya could be seen pushing the man away. Ever since the video came out, Twitter users have been having a field day with it, calling it ‘rude’ and ‘insulting’. A score of Twitter users also said that if a male politician had done this to a woman in the rally, there would have been a greater reaction to the incident.

One Twitter user wrote, “Kis cheez ka arrogance hai yaar??? (Why such arrogance?) Pushing a man rudely just because he was taking selfie? #JayaBachchan.”

While, another said, “#BengalElections2021 | Road Show In #Howrah… Samajwadi Party MP #JayaBachchan beats up a man who wanted a selfie at the public rally. Imagine a male politician doing that to a female citizen.”

Another user on Twitter also shared the video and wrote, “No wonder why Didi chooses arrogant & rude ppl like #JayaBachchan for campaign as TMC is all about misbehaving, arrogance & rudeness. Ppl open ur eyes & brain before voting such party. & don’t know y ppl want selfies such so called arrogant celebs.”

For the uninformed, Jaya Bachchan is in West Bengal for a four-day election campaign.

Many are not aware that, during their appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’, her kids Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan had revealed that she resents being photographed because she comes from an old school of thought where people are not supposed to click other people’s photos without their consent.
