Travel technology veteran Michael Jacques has joined price assurance specialist Smart Hotel Rate and will head business development, the company announced Tuesday. Jacques has more than three decades of experience at companies including Tramada, i:FAO/Cytric, Amadeus e-Travel Management, Farelogix, Tripware, Databasics and Lumo. Founded in 2019, Smart Hotel Rate earlier this year partnered with Traxo to ensure corporate hotel rates automatically are applied to reservations made directly with preferred hotels.
