Irani Woman recreates iconic ‘Sholay’ song ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ with perfection, Twitter erupts

A new video has gone viral and it deserves undivided attention by Bollywood fans. The video is straight from Iran where a woman recreated the iconic Sholay sequence of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan‘ song. She is seen as Basanti played by Hema Malini and aces every step like the legendary actor performed in the movie. The woman is joined by a group of men who are seen as Dharmendra and Amjad Khan who played Veeru and Gabbar Singh respectively.

A filmmaker named Kaveh Abbasian quote tweeted the video and wrote, “I hope this tweet somehow finds its way to the Indian Twitter. This is the Iranian generation that grew up with Indian movies and on top of all the absolute Bollywood gem that was Sholay (1975), which is the film that these party goers are humorously reenacting. Made my day.”

Soon after the filmmaker shared the video, it went viral in no time and netizens have been lauding the Irani woman for her dance and beautiful expressions while performing the sequence.

Meanwhile, talking about the song ‘Haa Jab Tak Hai Jaan‘, it’s sung by Lata Mangeshkar. The film is one of the most iconic movies ever created in Indian Cinema. 

Directed by Ramesh Sippy, Sholay also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bachchan in the lead roles. The film released in 1975 and went on to become an all-time favourite for many cinephiles.
