The culturally fluid artist was born Feb. 1, 1994 in Worcestershire, England. However, he grew up in Cheshire before he got his big break as a musician. Styles grew increasingly famous on the British talent show, “The X-Factor,” alongside his bandmates. Following this, he eventually went on to tour the world while performing. Styles’ fast pace lifestyle and exposure to so many different cultures has influenced his creativity immensely. These cultures inspired him to express himself in a way that he would not have if he spent the last ten years in England.

Styles has expressed in the past how he has always had a strong admiration for clothing and the power it holds. However he lacked the confidence to dress the way he wanted to. He recently appeared on the cover of Vogue wearing a beautifully designed, custom made, Gucci ballgown. Despite some backlash rooted from hate, the majority of people fawned over the alluring photograph of the man in the dress.
