Golden State Warriors rookie James Wiseman has suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee and will likely miss the remainder of the season, according to The Athletic.

The 7-foot-1 Wiseman took a hard fall after getting blocked while going to the rim during the Warriors’ 125-109 win over the Houston Rockets Saturday night.

“Hopefully he doesn’t miss too much time,” Warriors guard Steph Curry told reporters after the game. “It seems like when he takes a couple strides he gets dealt a little adversity, so it’s kind of tough. But I don’t know what the situation is. I hope he doesn’t miss much time.”

The Nashville native was the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft after leaving Memphis midway through his freshman season.

LaMelo Ball, the No. 3 overall pick in that draft, is also out for the remainder of the season with a fractured wrist.
