CWT appointed senior product incubation manager Joel Hanson as its senior director of global innovation business development, charged with helping lead development and delivery of new client-facing of products and services for the travel management company. Hanson will report to Vince Chirico, CWT SVP of global supply chain partners. 

Based in Minneapolis, Hanson for the past six years has served as CWT’s senior product incubation manager and recently spearheaded the global launch of the TMC’s non-profiled traveler services platform. He also was pivotal in the development and launch of CWT AnalytIQs, a spend tracking and forecasting tool for travel managers. 

CWT last week announced it had preliminarily agreed on a recapitalization plan with bondholders that will bring down the TMC’s debt load by nearly $900 million and provide nearly $350 million in new equity financing.
