Meeting space provider Convene has enhanced its virtual
meeting product launched last year, the company announced. Now dubbed Convene
Studio, the solution supports hybrid events that can digitally connect Convene sites
with any other venue, regardless of location, as well as work as a standalone
virtual platform, without the need to contract a Convene physical location, according
to the company.

The product’s virtual enhancements include an easier
registration offering; a web-based solution, eliminating the need to download
the platform; an expanded attendee cap from 1,000 to 10,000; and a
standardization set of staff and A/V pricing, according to the company. In addition,
Studio’s breakout rooms updates include enhanced speaker capabilities, with
grid view for up to 16 speakers; moderator controls; and the ability to
designate participants to “view only” mode.

Convene will continue to offer support for both in-person
and virtual events, broadcast and production services, and pre- and post-event support.
In addition to breakout rooms, the virtual tool offers event registration, live
polling, Q&A sessions, sponsorship options and attendee networking.

Also announced was the opening of the company’s newest
location, in Chicago’s Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), with a capacity of
up to 1,000 in-person attendees, making it Convene’s largest event space. The
company now offers 24 locations in five U.S. cities.
