Convene has acquired U.K.-based meeting- and event-space provider Etc.venues, the meeting and co-working space provider announced Wednesday. Financial terms were undisclosed. 

The acquisition adds 16 new venues to Convene’s now 38-property global portfolio. The deal “quickly expands the size of Convene’s portfolio and team across the U.S. and U.K. affording the business to strategically benefit from economies of scale and further operating efficiencies,” the company said in a press statement. 

While the companies did not state when the acquisition would be complete, Etc.venues will be “business as usual” in the meantime, according to the company, with events, services, branding and client contacts remaining the same until further notice.

Convene last year merged with SaksWorks, which added two New York properties to the company’s portfolio.
