Do some spring cleaning, and earn yourself a free six-pack of beer.

Joanna Teplin and Clea Shearer, founders of The Home Edit,  have teamed up with the folks Blue Moon Brewing Company to promote spring cleaning in their “Lighten Up” campaign . If consumers donate at least six items they no longer need, they can get a free six-pack of LightSky, a light wheat beer.

One lucky person who donates six items also get a free, virtual one-on-one organization session with both Teplin and Shearer, too. “As we head into the spring and more optimistic months ahead, we want to help drinkers feel lighter, both physically and mentally, by encouraging them to reset their spaces, try new things and shed the weight of last year,” says Rose Osial, brand manager at Molson Coors, which owns Blue Moon. “We enlisted the experts from The Home Edit to help drive the message to encourage people to declutter their spaces and ultimately feel lighter.”

Teplin and Shearer say that with the past year being so challenging, everyone is ready for a fresh start. “For us, nothing does this quite like decluttering and literally making space for better and brighter days,” they say. “So, when Blue Moon came to us with the idea of encouraging people to lighten up, we were totally on board. It felt like a win-win. Getting a jump start on spring cleaning, editing your items and free beer so what’s better than that?”

Here’s how the contest/campaign works. Follow @bluemoonbrewco on Instagram and Twitter, and then snap and share a photo of six items you’ve decided to donate, with the hashtags #LightSkyLightenUp and #sweeps, also tagging @bluemoonbrewco. Blue Moon will then send you a direct message to make sure you get a six-pack, worth $15. Anyone who does this is automatically entered into the contest to win a virtual organization session with The Home Edit. The contest runs through March 31, and contestants must follow Blue Moon through the end of the month to qualify.

Not only that, but you don’t even have to leave your home to make the donations! Instead, visit here to get a prepaid shipping label to pack up your donations and drop them in the mail. Up to  330 labels will be available on a first come first served basis.

The easy drinkability of LightSky marries perfectly with decluttering and organizing, Osail says. “Now, with brighter months ahead, we want to help people feel lighter, both physically and mentally, by encouraging them to refresh their spaces, try new things, and lift the weight of last year.”

In lifting the weight by letting go of things, here are four tips from Shearer and Teplin to make decluttering and organizing easier:

1.    Play your favorite podcast, put on some great music or listen to something pleasurable, which makes organizing go by faster.

2.    Tackle the spaces you use every day first. For example, start with the fridge, which you use every day. (And for Instagrammable organization, use the same bins and labels, and make sure all the labels face forward and are lined up in nice rows for picture-perfection.)

3.    Go through your closet once every season – you don’t realize what you’re not wearing until you go through things.

4.    Spruce up your work-from-home area. If you work to keep your surfaces tidy, using storage containers for other equipment or clutter, it can boost your creativity.
