Ariana Grande Ties For The Third-Most Top 10 Hits Of All Time On The Pop Chart With Her Latest Smash

Ariana Grande is truly the queen of the Pop Airplay chart this week, as she currently claims a trio of spaces inside the top 10 for herself. The superstar might not sit at No. 1 this time around (though she almost does) on Billboard’s weekly ranking of the tunes that reach the largest audience at pop radio in the U.S., but she does collect another big win, and in doing so, she makes history yet again.

This week, Grande’s current single “POV” advances from No. 13 to No. 10, entering the top 10 for the first time. The track is her nineteenth tune to reach the highest arena on the list, which is, unsurprisingly, one of the most impressive accumulations of wins in the history of the list.

With 19 top 10 hits on the Pop Airplay chart, Grande ties for the third-most placements between Nos. 1 and 10 among all acts, and she may soon continue her forward surge yet again. At the moment, the young pop starlet is on the same level as Pink, who has also accrued 19 placements inside the top 10.

Leading the way among all artists when looking at who have scored the most top 10 hits on the Pop Airplay ranking is Rihanna, who is in a fairly distant first place. The R&B/hip-hop/pop genre-melder has now landed in the space with 30 tracks, and she stands out as the only act to score that many smashes.

Pop band Maroon 5 has now pushed 21 different tunes into the Pop Airplay’s top 10, and they’re not stopping anytime soon, as they remain a tried-and-true favorite at pop radio. The group may soon collect another win, as their current single “Beautiful Mistakes,” which features Megan Thee Stallion, currently sits at No. 14.

Grande may also soon collect a twentieth top 10 hit, as she recently joined The Weeknd on his massive single “Save Your Tears,” which currently leads the Pop Airplay chart. While the two musicians are credited together on the Hot 100, the female powerhouse doesn’t earn the same honor on the pop-only list, even though her name is included in the writer’s credits. That could change in the coming weeks, depending on which version radio programmers choose.
