Appreciating the great show put up in 2020 by the entertainment industry, the 66th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2021 was held on Saturday. In the ceremony, Taapsee Pannu won the award under the category of Best Actor Leading Role (Female).

Last year Taapsee won critics best actress for ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, and this year her performance in ‘Thappad‘ garnered so much love; the actress seems to be on a roll for sure!

Further, not to forget it was a cutthroat competition under the category of best actress. Alongside Taapsee Pannu, other actresses who got nominated for the title were Deepika Padukone for ‘Chhapaak’, ‘Janhvi Kapoor’ for ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, Kangana Ranaut for ‘Panga’ and Vidya Balan for ‘Shakuntala Devi’.

Moreover, where on one hand, Taapsee got the Best Actor Leading Role (Female) award, the movie ‘Thappad’ itself won the maximum number of titles at the ceremony. It won under the categories of Best Film, Best Playback Singer (Male), Best Story, Best Sound Design, Best Editing, and Best Background Score.
